Just purchased a 1950s ranch style home that is mostly remodeled, expect for the garage. The walls feel like cheap wood paneling; they are warped and thin. Anyone seen this before or know what this is? I recently downsized from a spacious pole barn to a more manageable 2.5 car garage. One thing I wasn't willing to compromise on was a dedicated workspace for my projects. Here's my solution: a custom-made workbench with a durable and easy-to-clean 10-gauge stainless steel top! I kept the width to 2 feet so it fits perfectly within my garage door opening....

I’m pretty knowledgeable about a lot of DIY projects, but I’ve never had to deal with drain pipes around the house. Who should I speak with to learn more? Perhaps a General contractor? Specifically I’m trying to understand what is happening here. And also more generally about the large amount of water that passes through m crawl space after it rains....
