Reading across languages and listening to your articles on the go just got better. With our latest updates, translations and text-to-speech (TTS) in Inoreader are now powered by our own infrastructure and state-of-the-art hardware, delivering faster results in more than 50 languages. For the first time, Free users can also enjoy these features with daily quotas, while Pro users get unlimited access. Let’s take a closer look!

A more powerful text-to-speech player

When you open an article and select Listen with text-to-speech, the full audio version of the article loads directly in our new inline player. With it, you can:

• See audio duration and jump to any part of the article
• Pause, resume, and adjust playback speed
• Add audio files to your playlist for uninterrupted playback

In other words, TTS now behaves like any other audio file in Inoreader, giving you full control and convenience wherever you are. These updates are the result of extensive user feedback – many of you have requested speed control and the ability to jump to any position in an article. We’ve added both, making these features not only new to the player but new to TTS in Inoreader as a whole. On iOS and Android, you can track your listening progress and seek within the article using your system player. Switch devices and pick up right where you left off!

Updated limits

Here’s another exciting change: Pro users can now enjoy unlimited translations and text-to-speech for any number of articles, while Free users receive 10 translations and 5 article listens per day. While unused quotas don’t roll over, this gives you plenty of opportunities to explore how Inoreader makes reading and listening effortless.
