Follow every kind of source in one place

To find a site's RSS feed and follow it, click Add feed in the tab bar and type the name of the site. Inoreader finds the feed and shows you a preview before you follow it.

Search by name or address

Type a site's name or paste its address, and the results appear as you type, each with the feed's followers, its articles per week and its latest articles. The same works with the address of a YouTube channel, and the Add new list beside the search adds podcasts, Google News searches and the other source types.

Topics

Open a topic and follow the feeds the Inoreader team picked for it in one click, into a folder named after the topic, or pick feeds from the topic's own list. Popular sources shows sources picked for your country, related topics lead you from one subject to the next, and the search box lists your recent searches and topics. The dashboard also recommends sources based on what you already follow.

Browser extension and apps

The browser extension for Chrome, Firefox and Edge shows when a site has a feed and lets you follow it with one click, or saves the page to read later. On your phone, the apps do the same from the share menu.

Bring your feeds along

If you are switching from another reader, import your OPML file and your folders come with it. To look up a feed address without an account, use the free RSS feed finder.

Add your first feeds

  1. Click Add feed in the tab bar and type a site's name, a web address or a subject. To keep to one language, pick it in All languages first.
  2. Preview the results and follow a single feed, or open a topic and click Follow featured feeds to follow the team's picks into a folder named after the topic.
  3. Install the browser extension to follow sites as you come across them.
  4. To move from another reader, open Add feed, choose Import feeds and upload your OPML file.

Use cases

Starting from scratch

Follow the featured feeds of a few topics you care about and the Popular sources for your country, then remove the sources you do not read after the first week.

Covering an industry

Search for the outlets that cover a market in its own language, then add the companies' own newsrooms with the browser extension as you visit their sites.

Switching from another reader

Import your OPML file and your feeds are back in the same folders, with their recent articles ready to read.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a feed?

Click Add feed in the tab bar and type the site's name or paste its address. Inoreader finds the site's feed and shows you its latest articles before you follow it. You can also paste a feed address or the address of a YouTube channel, and the Add new list beside the search adds podcasts, Google News searches and the other source types.

What if I do not know what to follow?

Start with the topics on the Add feed page. Explore topics and More topics list every topic, Popular sources shows sources picked for your country, and each topic page has feeds picked by the Inoreader team, which Follow featured feeds puts in a folder named after the topic. As you search, Inoreader also suggests matching topics, and the dashboard shows what is trending among Inoreader users and recommends sources based on what you already follow.

Can I follow a site that does not have a feed?

Often, yes. Inoreader finds feeds that sites do not advertise and follows YouTube channels directly. With Pro, you can also turn any web page into a web feed, receive newsletters as feeds and follow Bluesky profiles, Facebook pages and Telegram channels.

Can I bring my feeds from another reader?

Yes. Export an OPML file from your current reader, then open Add feed and choose Import feeds. Inoreader keeps your folders and loads the recent articles of every feed. If you are coming from Feedly, Inoreader vs Feedly also explains the direct Feedly import.

Is there a browser extension?

Yes, for Chrome, Firefox and Edge. It shows when a site has a feed, lets you follow it with one click and saves any page to Inoreader for later. On your phone, the Inoreader apps do the same from the browser's share menu.

Can I search for feeds in my language?

Yes. The All languages menu at the end of the search box narrows the results, the feeds of a topic and the suggestions to one language, so you can follow a topic through sources published in the language of a specific market.
