Does Inoreader provide API access?
Yes. With Pro or a Team plan you register an application under Preferences > Developer API and call the documented API, signing users in with OAuth 2.0. A Pro application gets 100 requests a day in each of the API's two zones.
Register an application
- Click the gear at the bottom of the tab bar and open Developer API.
- Click New application.
- Fill in the Name, the URL where users get the app and the Platform.
- Under OAuth configuration, enter the Redirect URI (HTTPS, with http allowed for localhost) and choose the OAuth scope: Read only or Read and write.
- Save. The dialog then shows the OAuth Client ID and the OAuth Client secret.

Each account holds one application. Its panel shows the App ID, App key and Platform, the last 30 days of usage and the API Zone 1 and API Zone 2 bars. On a Team plan the owner's application is shared by all members, who get its credentials from the Team owner.
Limits and zones
Zone 1 is reading: user information, lists, unread counts, stream contents and item ids. Zone 2 is changes: editing tags, marking as read, adding or editing feeds, renaming or deleting tags, setting preferences and managing monitoring feeds. A Pro application may make 100 requests a day in each zone, and every response reports the limits and the usage in its headers. Limits can be raised for publicly available apps on platforms where Inoreader is not available, or with a Custom plan: Request limits increase sends the request to support once your app has more than 10 users.
Sign in and documentation
Applications sign users in with OAuth 2.0: the user approves access on a consent page at Inoreader and the app receives a token for the scope read or read write. Signing in with an email and password is not available for new integrations. The developer portal documents every method. What can developers use the API for? lists the methods, the Zapier, IFTTT and n8n integrations are built on the API, and an output feed is the no-code alternative. An app you authorized can be revoked under Support > Mobile apps > Authorized applications.
API access is included in Pro and Team plans, and Free accounts get it only for public apps on platforms where Inoreader has none.
