What is Track changes?
Track changes watches one area of a web page and adds an article to a feed each time that area changes. You choose Visual to compare how the area looks, with a threshold for how big a change counts, or Text to compare the words in the elements you pick.
Many pages update in place rather than publishing new entries: a price, a stock message, a schedule, a design. Track changes gives you an article for each update, so you can read, filter or act on it like any other article. Create one from Add feed in the tab bar with Track changes feed.
Choose Visual or Text
The builder opens on Visual. Select an area of the page and set the Threshold from 1 to 100%: Tiny under 10%, Medium from 10 to 24%, Major from 25 to 49% and Gigantic from 50% up. The default is Medium (10%). On Text, click a text element to select it and use Control+Click (⌘+Click on a Mac) for several. A new article arrives when any of them changes. The steps are in how to create a Track changes feed.

Read each change as an article
A Visual change arrives as an article saying that Inoreader has detected a change in the area you selected, with the difference in percent and a Visit site link. A Text change shows the text with added words in green and removed words in red. Inoreader checks the page on the regular feed schedule, at least every hour on Pro for an active feed, so a change shows up at the next check.
A change adds an article. It doesn't alert you by itself. For a push notification or an email, right-click the feed and choose Create rule. To make a Visual feed less sensitive later, right-click it, open Feed properties and move the Minimum image difference slider under Tracking settings. See what Track changes can monitor.
Track changes and Web feeds
To follow a list of new entries, such as headlines or job posts, use a Web feed instead. See whether to use Web feeds or Track changes.
Plans and limits
Track changes is a Pro feature: Pro includes 20 Web feeds and Track changes feeds together, and a Team with a shared pool shares 150 or 200 across the team. The feature page Follow any website, even without a feed describes both.
